When you deliver a sales presentation, you are doing more than just
presenting your product or services.

You are positioning yourself as an authority.

You are helping your prospect understand why they need your product.

And you are guiding your prospects in making a buying decision.

You must design your sales presentation to accomplish all three of
these thingsnow the question is how can you do that?

The best way to explain this is to look into the life of a carpenter.
Carpenters have the knowledge and experience to repair, remodel, and
even build new homes.

Most people, including me, barely know how to do anything when it
comes to fixing a home.

So who do we call when we need the wall repaired?

The carpenter!

Who do we call when we need to add another room to our house?

The carpenter!

Now imagine if there werent any carpenters around and you had to
build a new house all by yourself.

The truth is the house might never get built.

The exact same psychology can be applied to creating sales
presentations that work.

You cant build a powerful sales presentation without knowing what
exactly makes a sales presentation powerful. Youll fail trying to do

1. Understand your product inside and out. The more you learn about
your product, the more ways you will discover how to sell it.

2. Make a list of every objection you can get. To get people to
understand and accept your ideas, you have to learn to address their
concerns.

You see, when customers typically state their objection, that one
objection can lead to another objection so its best to answer them
before its even asked.

Make a list of every objection you face so you can create your sales

For example, lets say you are selling high-end silverware and you
notice you face two common objections.

paying a fair price.

3. List the features and benefits. Features tell and benefits sell.
So the more benefits you can think of, the more chances that youll get
the sale.

Sounds pretty good, but lets see how much better it sounds as a
benefit.

The good news is you can use our dishes even when guests with little
kids come over because no matter how they eat, our dishes wont ever get
scratched.

Now doesnt the benefit sentence sound much better?

You just painted a picture for the customer where they can see
themselves owning the dishes.

But heres the thing. You need to come up with more than just one
benefit for each feature.

This way youll be able to relate to what matters to your customer the
most.

What if your customers werent planning on using the dishes? What if
they just wanted to showcase it for people to see?

Then you can say something like, One thing youll never have to worry
about is your dishes getting scratched when you clean them for display
because its completely scratch resistant.

See, you always want to be able to paint a clear picture and get the
customer to imagine themselves already owning the product and
benefiting from it.

Why do you think car dealerships have test drives? Getting you in the
car is one step closer to owning it.

And why do makeup stores offer free tester kits? So you can see how
good the makeup looks on you and youll buy it.

Imagine if car dealerships didnt offer test drives or makeup stores
didnt have samples. Sales would fall drastically.

People have to see themselves owning the product before you can make
the sale.
